The Golden Slinghsot

If you want to get the golden slingshot you will have to shoot down 15 gift balloons. This isn't really all that hard to do, especially if you know when the balloons are coming.

They appear (or have a chance of appearing) every 10 minutes during every minute ending in 4. That is from 9:04 a.m. to 3:54 p.m. So you get to mess around fishing or whatever for 10 minutes then head up to the top of the map and wait for a balloon. If you don't hear that wind blowing sound after a minute go back to fishing.

The 16th baloon you shoot down will have the golden sling shot in it and it is a fun item to have.

Storage Space

Get yourself a dresser or chest of drawers as soon as possible (having more than one does not help). You can stick extra junk into these which is really, really useful.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) occupants of the house do not share dresser space so if you want to share stuff between friends you will have to send it to them in a letter or leave it for them on the ground. Using the post has the least amount of risk to your HRA score, but then if you are also running the other character then the item won't be on the ground for very long.

Catching Insects

Insects are a pain to catch. They don't just crawl around (most of them). You have to dig holes, bang rocks, shake trees and all that in order to catch some of them.

Keep your net handy and when you see an insect get out the net and swing after it.

The cocroach, fly and dung beetle are the easiest to catch. You can find cocroaches on tree trunks. Just go slowly around the trees and look at the trunks. Then sneak up and swing the net.

Planting flowers will attact other insects so plant your flowers and enjoy!

Golden Fishing Rod

If you want to get the golden fishing rod then you will need a lot of patience. Here is how you do it.

1 - Get yourself a fishing rod
2 - Catch at least one of every variety of fish in the game.

Very simple in theory, very time consuming in practice. Fish appear at different times of day and different months of the year so it is very hard to know that you have all of the fish. But it is also a good way to earn some bells to pay down your mortgage so in the end it is definitely worth the effort to catch every fish that you can.

I personally have never been able to get the golden fishing rod, but I aspire to it someday.

What To Do With Trash

Sometimes you will pull up bits of junk when you are fishing. Your first inclination will be to throw it out in the recycle bin. This is a good option as having junk around will make your town rating go down.

There is another use for it in the game, however.

Drop the junk on the ground and let it fester there for a while. Soon you will have flies buzzing around the trash. Get out your net and grab yourself a fly. It isn't worth much to Tom Nook, but it will help you round out your collection at the museum or of course you can keep it as a pet in a jar in your house.

Fishing The Most Important Skill

Fishing is the most important skill that you can learn in Animal Crossing Wild World. Get your hands on a fishing pole just as soon as you can. Fishing is the most profitable activity that you can do (aside from running a turnip racket, but that requires a friend which is not always available).

Next go fishing. If you are fishing for cash then you should only fish along the ocean. The fish in the ocean are worth more bells than the fish in the river or the pond. Naturally you will need to catch the river fish and pond fish if you want to fill up the museum, but when it comes to getting extra bells stick with the ocean.

The fish collect in more or less the same spots all the time so after a few minutes you will know where to go to look for fish. The bigger fish are, generally speaking, worth more bells so try to catch those. This isn't always the case so you should just catch everything you can and sell it.

Getting Rid of Bee Stings

Bee stings are unpleasant to say the least. However if you are after a bumblebee you will have to shake some trees and do your best to get out that net in time.

A lot of times you will just get stung. You won't be able to catch the bee and you will end up with a hurt face that everyone in town will make fun of.

So what to do? Well first off be sure to buy accident insurance. If you have insurance you will get 100 bells everytime you get stung, which eases some of the pain. Next there are two ways to get rid of a bee sting. The cheap easy and quick way and the expensive easy and quick way.

You can either buy some medicine from Tom Nook or you can save your game and restart. Either way your bee sting will go away and you will still get the 100 bells.

Plant Those Coconuts

Coconuts are worth 500 bells to Tom Nook so getting your hands on them can be very useful. They will wash up on the shore from time to time and all you have to do is go over and pick them up. But you can also plant them.

When choosing a spot to plant your coconuts be sure to pick a location near the beach. Palm trees will not grow on other locations of the map so do not stray too far inland.

When the trees grow up they will produce 2 coconuts at a time which will quickly add up to lots of extra bells which obviously comes in handy for finding the furniture and other items that you are looking for.

Planting and Orchard

If you manage to get yourself some fruit from another town (i.e. if your town grows cherries and somebody gives you an orange or pear) then you should plant it right away. This is a great way to make cash.

To ensure that your fruit will grow you should first chop down a native fruit tree and then plant the foreign fruit into the hole left by the old tree. Each new fruit that the tree produces will be worth 500 bells which is a heck of a lot more than the 100 bells for native fruit.

Over time this can build an orchard that is producing tens of thousands of bells each week.

One way to do this is to visit other towns and borrow items for a brief moment from your friends. This can allow you to order items from Tom Nook back in your own town without causing any real inconvenience to your friends.

I think that if it is abused it can degrade game play and certainly alters the intended functionality. Either way, you can use these Animal Crossing Wild World cheats in any way that you find fit.

To make a ton of money on the turnip market you will need a friend whose DS time is different from your own. Have her check the turnip prices at Tom Nook's store and make sure that they are relatively high.

Now set your DS for Sunday and go and buy turnips at a low price from Joan. Load up your turnips and go and visit your friend's town and sell the turnips to Tom Nook there. If you can get a reasonable profit each trip you can easily make hundreds of thousands of bells in one day.

Remember that each trip will cause one of the animals in your town to move so be a bit careful with how you abuse this cheat.

This Animal Crossing Wild World hint is a bit tricky to master, but once you get it you can get a complete set of furniture for free.

To get snowman furniture you need to make a perfect snowman. This is accomplished by making a snowball for the body approximately the height of your character's eyes. Then making a snowball for the head approximately 2/3 the size of the body.

If you do it correctly the snowman will let you know that you have made a perfect snowman and you will receive a piece of snow furniture. If you did it wrong then you will have to try it again.

Grow fruit trees by digging a hole a puting the fruit into it. It is best to grow fruit that does not normally grow in town (if cherries grow in your town then plant oranges or pears). Foreign fruit is worth more money. Not every hole will grow a tree. It is best to cut down a tree and then plant your fruit in the hole it leaves.

One of the easiest ways to get more stuff is to attach unwanted items in letters to the animals in town. They will reply to you and attach something in return. This is a good way to fill up your catalog.

To get the final upgrade to Tom Nook's (Nookintons) you have to have a friend visit your town and buy something from Tom Nook.

To keep turnips from going bad, place them on a table in your house. Any turnips left on a table will be good for the next week.

If it is going to take some time to pay off your mortgage, leave your bells in the bank. At the end of each month you will collect some interest and this can be used to help pay your bills.
